Application: Photography is a huge component of art, using photos to express meanings, shows history, to capture bizarre, abstract concepts, advertise and much more. In conceptional photography it is all about expressing a concept or message through the image.
Context: The Artists use photo editing and trick photography to make these bizarre weird ideas come to life, also the use of blurred out backgrounds and objects used in the background to help tell the story of the picture. The use of different types of background are also used, real life landscapes and studios, depending on what the artist has as a concept.
Techniques: Early artists like Josef Heinreich didnt have photoshop like artists today, he used real photos and placed them on paintings and other photos. Modern day artists use photoshop to create this effects, placing lights which arnt ther distort the images and blurring the background using a range of different tools. And inserting other objects or photos and merging them together.
